A Walk Down the Aisle: 20th Century Wedding Dresses from the La Crosse Area Exhibition
Step into a world of swirling tulle, cascading silks, and evolving fashions with A Walk Down the Aisle at the La Crosse Area Heritage Center! Journey through over a century of La Crosse history, as told through the exquisite garments worn by brides on their wedding day.
The exhibition features 12 wedding dresses donated and loaned to the La Crosse County Historical Society.
The exhibit opens on February 29 and runs through April 27, 2024. The La Crosse Area Heritage Center is open Thursday - Saturday, 10:30 am - 4:30 pm, with the last admission at 4:00 pm at 506 Main Street in downtown La Crosse. Admission is free for La Crosse County Historical Society members, $5/adult, $4/student, and children 4 and under are free.

Used and Clean, or New (all sizes but especially Medium, Large and Extra Large):
There is a drop off location inside the door on a bench. The doors are open from 9 to 6 Monday through Friday.
If you are unable to drop them off, but would like items picked up from you, please respond to this e-mail.

Each Monday, a group of volunteers meets at the CVII warehouse in Bangor to sort and pack items. Cindy Tracey goes each Monday to volunteer. If you are interested, please contact Cindy for more information.

- New or gently used stuffed animals - Soccer balls
- Toys for Christmas gifts (can be given year round) - nothing violent or no action stars.
- White tennis shoes for boys and girls - all sizes - Plain backpacks
- Hygiene items: tooth brushes, tooth paste, new combs and brushes, deodorant
- Peanut butter and chocolate chips for making cookies
- New clothing through size 18 (Especially boys 6-18)
- New or gently used curling irons, dishes, and small appliances
