Dear Siblings in Christ,
The church council has been deep in discussion over the past week to consider how best to care for each other and our most vulnerable members. After some discussion, the council voted to close the church buildings at the end of day, Wednesday, March 18. The council will reassess the current conditions by March 30 but until that date, only essential employees will be in the buildings.
This means that for the time being all worships and events and gatherings that happen in the church will be suspended. I as your pastor understand how important worship is, so we are working to find ways for you worship at a distance.
If you have access to the internet and Facebook:
Please continue to support your church during this time. Offerings can be dropped off, mailed, or given through your bank or electronic form. Our website will also be a place you can continue to give. We still have bills that need to be paid as you yourselves do. This will be an interesting time for many of us financially. Perhaps consider if you can give more, as others will be forced to readjust their budgets because of the shutting down of employment.
If you need help or are aware of others who need help (and I mean help of all kinds; emotional, spiritual or physical), let us know. We will coordinate how to assist when we can. And we know we can count on you to help us whether it means delivering food for children, families or the elderly, getting folks to the places they need to go or simply being a listening ear.
This is a time when we need the Church and the world needs the Church. As children of God, we are now Christ's body in the world. We are now Jesus hands, feet and presence. Let us go forth with love for each other, faith in Jesus Christ and hope, a hope, a hope living and active in this world.

- Be sure to follow both of the churches’ pages, as we will be posting information to you there.
- Check your email as we will be sending email updates (be sure to let us know what your email is, if you are not receiving emails from us.).
- I will be going live on Facebook daily at 6pm to offer prayer with you.
- We may even try a chat feature called Zoom, that will allow us to gather online to talk with one another.
- We will be streaming worship on Facebook at 9am, and will post those videos to the website later in the day.
- We encourage you to join in worship with one of our sister congregations by radio.
- Trinity Lutheran Church on WKTY 580 AM at 8:30am on Sunday mornings.
- Black River Lutheran Church, on WWIS 99.7 FM at 10:30am on Sunday mornings
